Is Site Build It a scam ?

I have seen this asked in forums, blogs, and people search for it everyday. They are looking for the negative and/or bad things about using this program. For each myth that you may have heard, here is the truth. How do I know this information to be the truth? I built a website that is powered by site build it.

Site Build It is just for beginners

This is far from the truth. Many of the people that are using SBI to build their own websites are not newbies. Many of them (like me) have built other websites prior to using the software. See why I built this website.

It is great for beginners because the block-by-block wysiwyg (what you see is what you get) site builder lets you learn how to build an effective web page that works not just for your visitors, but for the search engine spiders also.

Once you have the feel for it, you don't have to keep using the block-by-block builder. You are able to build your own pages using dreamweaver, Frontpage or any other HTML you want. I use Nvu (it's free) to build my pages, then upload to my website. I just used the step by step guide to download my website template, saved it as a template in Nvu, create my pages, save as the page name I want, then upload to my site.

You can spot a Site Build It site a mile away

When you are starting out the templates are great to use and there are hundreds to choose from, but you don't have to keep using them. You are free to use any other tools available, your own HTML editor, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, CSS or any other design method or tool you would like.

Take a minutes and look at some examples of Site Build It sites. These are real websites on the Internet, not just what your website could look like.

They sure don't look the same to me. If I would have see these sites online, I would not have know they were SBI websites.
