Hobby

Building a hobby website is probably the easiest site to create since you are able to build a lot of quality content around a theme you enjoy.

A hobby website is normally a fun based project on a subject which you would be very familiar with.

Informational / How To

Many people overlook this type of a website thinking money can not be made with them. How can you sell information online? You are not selling information, but writing about information that people are looking for then directing them to sites to purchase the products (affiliate marketing).

People look for all types of information. Especially "how to tutorial": repair credit, lose weight, save money, cook a quick meal, eat healthy, grow an organic garden, etc....

How many times have you asked a person or has someone asked you, "How to (fill in the blank)" You can create a website on this information.
